Facing The Wind

“Facing the Wind”, is a one take HD video, of 40 minutes duration. Filmed in a public space, the process of its construction is presented without alteration. Editing is confined to how and when the environment is framed. The subject seemingly deer, as the event unfolds, questions the nature of how and why the film itself is made.

The original sound track records spoken responses of onlookers, and the film makers interaction, activity and presence. Remaining off screen, spectators discuss their feelings towards the deer, whilst determining the ulterior commentary about image making and photography, as the event is captured.
